community training

Pierce County Emergency Management is committed to “whole community” planning, training and exercising for disasters which may affect our high risk and vulnerable populations. This also includes those with access and functional needs.

Those with disabilities are encouraged to attend training that will help them be better prepared during disasters. Caregivers, personal assistants, adult care program management and nursing home or assisted living management are also encouraged to take advantage of available training to develop emergency plans and know how to integrate with first responders during major incidents.
