Trails & Art

Visitors can now enjoy strolling along a new trail located at the corner of 144th Street and Meridian South heading into the park. This trail travels through sculptured swaying grass-like artwork titled SWAY created by artist Chris Spadafore who was commissioned by the Pierce County Arts Commission.

SWAY - reaching out to engage...playful in its scale...exploration of natural forms...an invitation to the park...a place to call home...

by Chris Spadafore 2018

The art also incorporates a color-changing LED reader board that announces programs that take place at Meridian Habitat Park as well as local events offered by Pierce County Parks.
